nikon lens cup question by Deangelo Rodriguez: water damage on my digital nikon s210?
I dropped it in a cup of coffee. Don't ask how. It turns on and sometimes the lens will come out but sometime they won't and (display lens error on the screen) only some of the buttons work, and I am unable to take pictures. Where can I take it to be repaired and/or send it to be repaired. and how much would it cost through nikon? I got the camera christmas day 12/25/08 Thanks!

Answer by David M It will almost certainly cost more to fix it than buy a new one. Your camera is basically toast.

I have the nikon cool pix s210, and it was in my bag with a cup of water. I guess water got into the lens or something. It turns on, but it turns off. Sometimes, it will say lens error. I have read a few things that I can do, but what are some other fixable solutions?

Answer by Jim A Not much that you can do. I'd seek the advice of a pro. Repair can be very expensive and may cost you more than a new camera so be aware of that going in. Also, keep your equipment away from water.
