How do I attach my wide angle lens to my Nikon D60?
I recently received a Neewer .45x super wide angle lens for my birthday and own a Nikon D60 with an 18-55mm lens, and a 55-200mm lens, and can not figure out how to attach the wide angle to any of my other ones. The plastic piece on the end comes off, and the middle unscrews, but there's nothing else I can figure out to do. HELP!:)
Sorry to tell you, but what you have is NOT a wide angle lens. That would be a lens like the Nikkor 10-24 mm which would interchange with your 18-55 mm lens.
What you have is a very cheap, poor quality add-on lens that screws onto the front of your lens, using the 52 mm filter threads. If for some reason you did not get one that is designed to fit a 52 mm thread, you will have to return it for one that does.
Since the real wide angle zoom costs just under $900, you should be able to figure out what kind of quality you can expect from a $40 add-on lens

I am looking to buy a wide angle lens for my Canon 40D but I'm not sure what to get. I was thinking the Canon 10-22mm cause its really good quality but then I'd have to spend more money on that. I was also thinking about the Sigma 10-20mm cause its a nice price but I'm not sure. I know heaps of people use the Sigma and I've heard only positive feedback but I don't know yet. Please help!
The quality of Sigmas is decent. If you want a good digital-only wide-angle lens, go try out the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8. I recently bought one for my 30D and it's my favorite lens now!
Its pictures are crisp and sharp, and the 17mm focal length gives me a wide enough perspective. The f/2.8 helps me so much when I'm shooting in low light conditions or want to blur more background. The build quality is pretty solid. The AF is somewhat noisy, but you'd get that on most third party lenses. It hasn't been a huge issue for me, since most of the time there's ambient noise everywhere. The best part: it's only $400 on Amazon! Definitely worth a look!
You can check out my gallery for shots using my 30D and Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8.
