Canon EF 70-200mm question by ps: CANON EF 70-200mm f/4L OR EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS?
I want the len for use with my canon T1I ,my goal is portrait and wedding photography,Their both around same price (600-700). but which one is more professional?

Answer by T. Le
For portraits, either one would be fine, but for weddings, both may be a bit slow. The 70-200mm f/4L may be slightly better in low light because of the constant aperture as opposed to the max variable aperture of f/4-5.6. But of course, the IS in the 70-300mm may compensate for the extra stop at the telephoto end. It doesn't hurt to rent both lenses and try them out before purchasing.

Ultraviolet light, which manifests itself in photographs as reduced clarity and the appearance of haze, is blocked by the UV 010. Ultraviolet light is invisible to the eye and is strong in mountainous and coastal areas with very clear air. This makes the colorless UV 010 an indispensable filter because it requires no exposure compensation. It is recommended as an ideal filter to be kept permanently on the lens to protect the front element. Filter factor is 1.0. more info
